Tim Schultz was recently appointed as Hatboro’s mayor and he is now asking for your vote in the upcoming election. Tim and his wife DJ have lived in the borough since 2002 where they have five kids and now a grand-baby on the way. A graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School in 1978 (Go Hatters!), he has cruised York Road a “couple times” since he was a kid.
Tim is also the President of Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has been organizing some of Hatboro’s favorite community events for decades, and he is proud to represent the tremendous contributions by our residents, our businesses, and our municipal employees in creating a community that celebrates its rich past and looks forward to the exciting possibilities for its future.
The upcoming year holds several important areas of focus for the Mayor’s office:
Promote our local businesses throughout town
2020 knocked us all off track and now is the time to pull together and explore our shops, restaurants and bars, breweries and bakeries, automative repair shops, salons, clothing boutiques, and everything else in our borough.
Highlight our service and community groups throughout our area
As our Scout groups have always promoted: Service to Community! Our food pantries came through a challenging year with the help of many, many volunteers. There is a unique satisfaction that happens when you extend your hand to the numerous organizations here in Hatboro. You can help others through your place of worship, St. John’s and Lehman food pantries, H.A.T. Packs, Meals on Wheels, W.K. Bray Masonic Lodge, Hatboro Rotary Club, Hatboro Lions Club, the Millbrook Society (our history curators), Willow Grove Moose Lodge, and other groups.
Continue to lead in the pandemic recovery efforts
Tim is looking forward to working in the months ahead as we emerge carefully from the shadow of this terrible pandemic. He is eager to greet his friends and neighbors along York Road as we return to our routines and to happier times.
