RE-ELECT DEMOCRAT

AMANDA JACOBUS
for Borough Council

Councilwoman Amanda Jacobus has been a Hatboro resident for most of her life. She is a proud alumna of Hatboro-Horsham (class of 1998). She has been married to her husband, Rob, for 23 years. They have two children together. Their daughter, Hope, is a 2024 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School and is currently a freshman at Wilkes University. Their son, Henry, is in first grade at Crooked Billet Elementary School.

Amanda holds a BS in Nursing from Immaculata University and has worked as a Registered Nurse for 22 years. She is currently a Labor & Delivery nurse at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital. Prior to her current role, she was a NICU nurse for 15 years, and also a Nurse Manager at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Amanda has served as a Borough Councilwoman for the last four years. During that time, she has worked to ensure that Hatboro is run in an effective, efficient, transparent, and responsible way. Amanda has a personal interest in preserving and improving the quality of our community. While serving on Borough Council, Amanda’s goal has always been to keep the best intentions of Hatboro in mind while acting as a conduit for concerns of both residents and business owners. She will continue to be a strong voice that represents different groups in the community and ensures that those voices are heard when making decisions.

Amanda currently serves as the Chair of the Public Safety Committee and the Co-Chair of the Environmental Affairs and Parks Committee. She has always said that what is most important to her is being a kind and involved member of the Hatboro community. As with all communities, there are issues that must be faced in Hatboro. Some of these issues include flood mitigation, economic development, the revitalization of Main Street, and upkeep and maintenance of the Pennypack property. She will continue to strive to improve riparian buffers along all waterways in Hatboro, work to attract businesses that will meet the needs of residents and create greater walkability and livability in Hatboro.

If re-elected, Amanda plans to continue to be a strong voice for the community. She will continue to work with residents and business owners to understand their needs and work toward goals that are in the best interest of the community.
