Amanda Jacobus has been a Hatboro resident for most of her life, and she is a proud alumna of Hatboro-Horsham (class of 1998). She has been married to her husband, Rob, for nearly 20 years. They have two children – Hope, a 10th grader at the high school, and Henry, who is 3 years old.
Amanda is running for school board because she has a personal interest in preserving and improving the quality of our school system. She intends to keep the best intention of our students in mind while acting as a conduit for the concerns of both parents and teachers. She will be a strong voice that represents different groups in the community and ensures that those voices are heard when making educational and administrative decisions.
Amanda holds a BS in Nursing from Immaculata University and has been a registered nurse for 18 years. She is currently the head charge nurse of the NICU at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Prior to her current role, she was a nurse manager at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Amanda is also active in her community as a member of the KVMT production team and as a volunteer with Harmony Theater.
